Job Vacancy – Play Leader Assistant – SENDCO

18 hours per week
Little Frogs Pre School requires a Play Leader Assistant SENDCO. We are looking for a qualified individual to work 18 hours per week, plus extra for paperwork and possibly cover staff sickness and holiday leave.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and positive team player who has a passion for children’s learning and development to join our setting. You will be a Key Person to a small group of children and carry out the role of SENDCo.
The successful applicant will need to hold a full and relevant early years and childcare qualification at level 3, SENDCo trained or SEN experience as well as having worked in an early years setting. Sound knowledge of the EYFS is essential as well as having the necessary skills to undertake the role of a key person. Current Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding training and Food Hygiene are an advantage, however, training can be arranged.
The role of SendCo is central to the work we do and therefore we are seeking someone very special for this role. You we need to have a strong interest in ensuring that all children are supported to reach their full potential and be able to work in partnership with their parents. You will need to support other staff with their key children and planning, keep records, complete IEP’s and liaise with other agencies and professionals as needed, including completing referrals and using the Early Help tools. Training can be provided for the right candidate although experience is preferred.
